How to Contribute Art?

Do you want to be a part of illustrating the entire Bible, verse to verse? We would love to have you!
Here are some specifications for submitting art:
  • Authorship: You must be the author of the work in question. If you co-authored the work, you must have the permission of your co-author to use the work for Fan Bible Illustrated.
  • Medium and style: Any (traditional, digital, photography etc.). You don't have to base the images on Byzantine iconography and/or original Bible Illustrated.
  • Size and resolution: Any size, aim for 300dpi. If you're making an illustration, scan the image (photos of traditional art will be begrudgingly accepted).
  • Where to send: To the following e-mail address.
  • Forbidden imagery: Any images that depict explicit heresy, explicit sexual imagery, racist themes and/or explicit violence won't be used for the project.* You can include political references if they make sense, not if they're overly preachy (for example: drawing Trump and/or Obama in a crowd for "trust not in the princes of men" is okay; drawing Trump and/or Obama as the Antichrist is not okay).
  • What to draw: Give priority to verses that haven't been illustrated. Duplicates of same verses will be used for the project, but the point is to illustrate the entire Bible, not have 30+ versions of 'God so loved the world.'
  • Consistency: You do not have to make illustrations consistent between different authors or even between your own images, though this would be greatly appreciated.
  • Usage rights: The images you send will be used exclusively for Fan Bible Illustrated project and, possibly, for YT videos of completed verses. No drawings will be used, by me, outside of these two platforms. Other than that, you're free to use the images as you wish.
  • Attribution: When sending, please indicate which chapter and verses you illustrated, as well as the name by which you want to be indicated on the verse page (full name, nick name, pseudonym etc.). You will be indicated as the author of the image as listed above. Your name can be used as a link for a page of your choice (for example, your ArtStation page, contact e-mail, Facebook page or profile etc). Your images can contain non-obtrusive signatures, but no watermarks.
  • Bible version: The Bible version will be KJV, Douay–Rheims Bible for deuterocanonical books.
  • Notification: You will be notified when the image you sent goes up. I have no idea how many drawings will be sent, but I'll go for uploading one image/day.
